This morning (September 18th) Tritech recognized a significant latency across Internet backbone connections and were able to quickly identify the source as being scanning activity. We have since been able to attribute this traffic to a new virus/worm ("Nimda/A") that has infected thousands of Windows-based computer systems around the world. Our hosting environment is not affected by this worm. However, major Internet backbones suffer significant traffic increase due to the exponential infection rate.

We will be updating our clients at the earliest opportunity when we have new information to convey.
