 Can I transfer existing domain name to Tritech?
Yes. A number of our customers have transferred domains to our service. When you place an order online or by telephone, be sure to specify that you are requesting a transfer and NOT a new domain.
 

 
 Can I use my account for commercial purposes?
Yes, you can use your account for commercial purposes. The World Wide Web has become one of the most efficient and cost-effective means of making information, products and services available to the users of the Internet community.
 
 
 Do you accept international orders?
Yes. We have customers located all over the world and we are as close as your computer. If desired, we can host non-US domain names as well.
 
 
 Do you offer dial-up or any high speed Internet access?
No. You will need local Internet access in order to maintain your web site and retrieve e-mail addressed to your site. Providing a specialized service means that we do not have hundreds of modems and access equipments to maintain, enables us to dedicate more time to our customers and to the addition of enhancements to the entire site. Our Plasma Web Servers are on switched ethernet and T1 connections to the Internet. Since we do not offer dial-up or any type of high speed Internet access services, 100% of this bandwidth is dedicated to serving your web sites, ensuring a high level of performance.
 
 
 Do you offer web site development services?

 Does Tritech handle domain name registration?
Yes. We will register your domain on your behalf. Visit our DNS Online Order Form to register your domain name right away.
 
 
 Am I going to use more than the given monthly transfer included in your plans?
Probably not, unless you are serving large amounts of multimedia content to a large audience. Our prices on additional monthly transfer are very low. To see how much transfer you have used in total for the month so far, access your Web Site Statistics.
 
 
 What is Virtual Web Server?
We specialize in Web Hosting which means that you can find a home for your web site on our web servers and establish a presence on the Internet without investing thousands of dollars on servers and network infrastructure. We can help register your own domain name which will become your unique identity on the World Wide Web. Having your own domain name does not suggest that you are renting web space because you can have email-only service. Furthermore, since e-mail can be addressed to your domain (eg. username@your-domain.com) you will not have to announce a new e-mail address if you change Internet providers.
 
 
 Will I have unlimited access to update my pages?
You have unlimited access via shell access and FTP 24 hours a day. As such, you can create and maintain your web pages on your own computer and upload files to your web site at your leisure.
 
 
 How do I place an order?

 How long does it take to setup a new account?
Your account will be created as soon as your payment is cleared at the bank. Credit card orders will usually be fulfilled on the same day.
 

 Do you place any restriction on the web site contents?
No. Tritech acts as a common carrier and does not inspect, rate, or censor our customer's content.

Before submitting your order, the Service Terms and Conditions document must be read and agreed to before your account is created. Basically, don't abuse the system and don't break American or Canadian laws or your account will be immediately terminated. In addition, certain materials are strictly prohibited on our web servers.  What are the available payment methods?
There are three ways you can pay for your account:
    Cheque, Certified Cheque or Money Order
    Your account is not activated until the cheque clears and the funds are in our account.

    Postal and bank processing delays can cause interruptions of service to your web site. To avoid bank delays, pay by Money Order, or have your home branch certify your cheque.

    Wire-Transfer
    Your account will be activated when the funds are in our account. Please make sure that your bank includes the following details in its message:

    Credit Cards
    Credit Card payment is by far the most popular and faster way to pay for your order. Your order is processed immediately when the transaction is approved. Tritech currently accepts VISA and MasterCard.

 Can I switch plans once I've paid?
Yes. You can change plans at any time by informing our Support Department. Your old account balance will be credited to your new plan.
 

 What is Tritech's data backup / restoration policy?
Our backup system performs scheduled daily incremental backup, weekly full backup and monthly full backup. Monthly backups are kept for six months.

In any event shall restoration be needed, Tritech will restore the data from our redundant file server. This type of restoration provides extremely fast recovery of your data, usually within minutes. If the replicated data is not available on the redundant file server, we will then restore the data from our backup library. However, restoring from backup library is usually more time-consuming because of the extremely large data trees and volume, especially when the restoration is only for a particular account.
